Edén Muñoz

Artist Bio

Born in 1990 in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Edén Muñoz is a singer, songwriter, producer, and accordionist of Mexican regional music. Already a professional musician while still in his teens, in 2006 he joined Colmillo Norteño, an outfit associated with the norteño-banda style. Muñoz recorded three albums with Colmillo Norteño as their lead vocalist.

In 2010 he founded Calibre 50, which went on to become one of the genre’s most popular acts of the decade, releasing almost 20 studio and live albums and collecting numerous awards. At the same time, Muñoz became an in-demand composer for other artists such as Julión Álvarez, Banda MS, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón.

Singer, producer, and songwriter of much of Calibre 50’s material, the next obvious step for Muñoz was to launch a solo career, which he duly kickstarted in June 2022 with the release of the live album La Historia Debe Continuar. Consejos Gratis, his first solo studio recording, appeared a few months later. Como en Los Viejos Tiempos was released in December 2023.
